Terms and Conditions

NLP Life Coaching & EMDR Therapy Services

These terms and conditions apply to the 1:1 Therapy and NLP Life Coaching Services we provide to you.

Scope of Services

  • The practitioner will provide NLP, Life Coaching, EMDR or any blend of services, including Timeline Therapy® or Hypnosis for which the practitioner is qualified to the client in accordance with the agreed-upon schedule and terms.
  • The client acknowledges having researched the methodologies offered by the practitioner and understands the distinctions between these and other modalities, including counselling, psychotherapy, and psychiatry. Based on this understanding, the client has made an informed decision to engage with the practitioner's specific approach.
  • The client acknowledges that their practitioner is a trained and the methodologies listed under their ‘training and qualifications’ section on the About Page and are not a qualified psychologist, psychiatrist or medical professional.
  • The client acknowledges their autonomy in decision-making. Any discussions around ideas, actions and ways forward are intended to facilitate the client's own exploration and insights. The practitioner's role is to support the client in their own discovery process, not to provide specific recommendations or advice.

Additional Notes on EMDR

  • The practitioner is qualified in EMDR by the EMDR Centre London, recognised by NCPS and ICPS UK.
  • The EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) component of the services involves a specific therapeutic approach designed to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories. This process may involve recalling and processing emotionally charged experiences, and the client's active participation is integral to the effectiveness of the therapy.
  • The client understands that EMDR therapy may involve accessing and processing distressing memories, which could lead to temporary emotional discomfort, heightened awareness of difficult feelings, or the recall of related events. The practitioner will provide support and guidance throughout this process.

Confidentiality

  • The practitioner will maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information disclosed by the client during sessions.
  • Confidentiality may be breached in the following circumstances:
    • When there is a risk of harm to the client or others.
    • When required by law, such as in cases of child abuse or neglect.
    • When the client consents to the disclosure of information.
  • The practitioner will take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality of the client's information, including using secure communication methods and storage practices in accordance with UK law.

Payment

Payment for services will be due in advance as agreed upon by the client and practitioner.

No appointments are confirmed without prior payment.

If the client fails to make a payment on time, the practitioner may suspend or terminate services until the payment is received.

Cancellation Policy

  • If the client wishes to cancel a scheduled session, they must provide at least 48 hours' notice to the practitioner.
  • If the client cancels a session with less than 48 hours' notice, they will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.
  • If the practitioner needs to cancel a session, they will provide the client with as much notice as possible and will either reschedule the session or offer a refund.

Refund Policy

  • If the client terminates services before the end of the agreed-upon or prepaid term, they are eligible for a refund for any unused sessions, which will be calculated independently of the cancellation policy.
  • Refunds must be requested within 14 days of the last in-person or on-line session with the practitioner.
  • Refunds will be issued within 5 days of the client's written request.

Limitation of Liability

  • The practitioner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the services.

Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

Entire Agreement

  • These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and the practitioner and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.

The client understands that while EMDR, NLP and Life Coaching can be highly effective for many individuals, the outcomes can vary, and there is no guarantee of specific results or a specific timeline for progress
